  • Proven experience in bakery operations management
  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 bakers and training new bakers to proficiency
  • Passion for bakery and food
  • Successful completion of Central Market University
  • Ability to work flexible shifts

Job Duties

  • Use independent judgment in employment-related and business decisions including hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, and resolving partner-related matters
  • Conduct interviews, performance reviews, and partner feedback
  • Train and develop bakery partners and write department schedules
  • Provide superior customer service and lead a team to ensure high-level customer service
  • Sell products for promotional and special events
  • Maximize sales through merchandising, signage, and effective promotion of products
  • Ensure product quality, presentation, and in-stock conditions
  • Maintain vendor relationships and collaborate with other department managers
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, refrigeration, and product freshness regulations
  • Monitor and manage product assortment, shrink, labor, and wrap expenses
  • Plan weekly and long-term budgets and conduct forecasting and production planning
  • Oversee product ordering and inventory control
  • Generate new sales and maintain client relationships
