Job Requirements

  • Proven bakery operations management experience
  • Experience managing and training teams of at least 10 bakers
  • Passion for bakery and food sales
  • Successful completion of Central Market University
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and develop team
  • Basic financial acumen including sales and GP percent understanding
  • Flexible to work various shifts

  • Proven experience in bakery operations management
  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 bakers and training new bakers
  • Completion of Central Market University
  • Proficiency in computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver recommendations
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
  • Proven ability to develop teams including delegating tasks
  • Basic financial knowledge of sales and gross profit percentages

Job Duties

  • Make employment-related and business decisions independently or recommend effectively including hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or resolving partner-related matters
  • Conduct interviews, performance reviews, provide partner feedback, train and develop partners, and create department schedules
  • Provide superior customer service and lead team to deliver highest level service
  • Manage sales efforts for promotional and special events
  • Oversee merchandising, ensure product quality, presentation, and in-stock conditions
  • Maintain vendor relationships and collaborate with other department managers
  • Ensure compliance with government and company regulations for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation
  • Monitor product assortment, shrink, labor, and wrap expenses to meet budget
  • Conduct forecasting and production planning
  • Manage product ordering and inventory controls
  • Generate new sales and maintain client relationships
