Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Must have valid IVP Fingerprint Card
  • Must pass background clearance check
  • Must obtain Certified Food Service Manager's card within one month of employment
  • Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work in extreme temperature conditions
  • May work outside normal hours
  • May travel for work functions
  • Must possess valid Arizona driver license

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five years of progressively responsible food service experience
  • Experience in food preparation, cooking, baking, or kitchen management
  • Ability to lead and supervise personnel
  • Knowledge of nutrition standards
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
  • Proficiency with computer software applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Lead work unit and personnel
  • Provide and/or recommend training
  • Coordinate schedules and assign tasks
  • Establish performance measures and goals
  • Evaluate work performance and provide feedback
  • Assign, plan, and supervise food preparation work
  • Review menus and schedules
  • Oversee inventory removal and restocking
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitation duties
  • Monitor food service lines and student portions
  • Review student meal eligibility
  • Prepare food production worksheets
  • Handle cash and payment receipts
  • Review food product deliveries
  • Oversee food product storage and record keeping
  • Perform other assigned duties
