Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Food handler's license
- Experience assisting in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work with a team

- Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and sit frequently

Job Duties
- Perform duties in safe and sanitary manner using food handling and proper preparation techniques
- Perform proper safety procedures for all equipment used in a kitchen
- Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established hygiene standards
- Wash and appropriately store all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and dining room, wipe down kitchen walls
- Maintain stock and inventory
- Prepare sandwiches
- Assist cooks with preparation of meal ingredients including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat
- Assist with unloading of delivered food supplies
- Organize and correctly store food supplies
- Promptly transfer meal ingredients from storage areas to kitchen per cook's instructions
- Help set up and serve the food line, take food trays to the handicapped, and bus tables
- Perform related duties as assigned
