Job Requirements
- graduation from high school or equivalent
- two years of responsible food preparation experience
- one year of cooking duties involving recipe extension
- valid Food Safety Manager Certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment
- successful passage of the district's proficiency test
- availability to work part time, 8 hours per day for 206 paid days a year
- adherence to annual training requirements for school nutrition managers
Job Qualifications
- graduation from high school or equivalent
- two years of increasingly responsible food preparation experience
- one year of cooking experience following and extending recipes
- valid Food Safety Manager Certificate (ServSafe or equivalent) or ability to obtain prior to employment
- successful passage of the district's job-related proficiency test
- knowledge of large quantity food preparation
- leadership and training skills
Job Duties
- perform cooking and baking duties for large quantities of food
- prepare food items for transport to multiple school sites
- verify quantities and specifications of food orders
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment
- train and provide work guidance to assigned kitchen personnel
- adhere to food safety standards and regulations
- assist in daily kitchen operations and inventory management
