Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • two years of progressively responsible experience in office operations and management
  • basic knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing and telephone etiquette
  • proficiency in English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • ability to perform secretarial and clerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision
  • ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and the public and use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority
  • basic keyboard skills and ability to use computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • effective communication skills with children, parents, and staff

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • provide high-level administrative and staff support consistent with head start performance standards and CPLC policies and procedures
  • promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success
  • actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments
  • maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment
  • facilitate health practices to keep children safe in school, outdoor, and indoor environments
  • perform secretarial and clerical duties with speed and accuracy
  • maintain good working relationships with co-workers and the public and use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority
