Job Requirements

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
  • One year of related work experience
  • Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • One year of related work experience required
  • Experience supporting and empowering youth through professional services preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong public relations skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to interview and organize information
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications

Job Duties

  • Assist in the logistical organization and planning of continuing education events programs
  • Facilitate the hiring process for continuing education events leadership and counselor staff
  • Interview and process applications for the hiring of seasonal employees
  • Supervise student employees within assigned functional areas
  • Develop and implement training for continuing education events office employees
  • Participate in the evaluation of processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Support other program assistants with general duties as assigned
