Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading marketing and event management company specializing in in-store product demonstrations and event marketing. CDS is recognized as the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, a major membership-only warehouse club. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
  • Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead well performing teams
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Able to coach and counsel employees, take correct measures as needed
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, business administration or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in branded consumer-packaged goods or related field
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Strong supervising skills including delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in projects or business environment
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer/client relationships
  • Ability to direct, lead and develop people
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook and web browsers
  • NEHA Professional Food Handler Certification required

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
  • Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
  • Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
  • Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
  • Participate in new location grand openings as required
  • Direct all activities engaged in successful events, promotion and sales of vendor products
  • Collaborate with the District Manager to evaluate event performance metrics and make adjustments as necessary
