Job Requirements
- must possess a commercial driver’s license
- must have a valid DOT physical or ability to get one
- knowledge of operating and servicing ready-mix trucks preferred
- familiarity with Department of Transportation rules and regulations preferred
- willingness to work overtime and extended hours
- ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and handle loud noises
- clean and safe driving record
- ability to safely operate and control equipment
Job Qualifications
- possess a commercial driver’s license

Job Duties
- promote safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards
- operate ready-mix truck following federal, state, and company regulations
- receive and evaluate load slump and transport concrete to job sites
- maneuver truck on job site and attach chutes to discharge material
- clean truck to minimize concrete buildup
- perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete daily equipment reports
- complete required forms, service reports, and tickets
- coordinate closely with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management
- perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing ladders, hanging chutes, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- perform other duties as assigned
