Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years of age
  • ability to obtain a valid cdl permit
  • successful completion of dot physical, drug screening, and criminal background check
  • possession of a valid dot medical card
  • strict adherence to safety standards and company policies
  • team player willing to assist co-workers and supervisors as needed
  • demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to colleagues and the public
  • maintain a current driver's license meeting state and company requirements (cdl, class b)
  • motor vehicle record (mvr) must meet company and dot standards
  • ability to work up to six days per week, including significant overtime (55-70 hours/week), per dot ready mix exemption laws
  • willingness to travel and work away from home as required
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules
  • commitment to training employees with a cdl class b license, even if they lack driving experience
  • use of personal protective equipment (ppe) as required by osha/msha, including face shield, safety shoes, and safety vest
  • compliance with osha, msha, and dot regulations

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or ged required
  • must obtain a cdl b permit from the local dmv

Job Duties

  • conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles with proper documentation in accordance with dot guidelines
  • assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • monitor vehicle gauges during operation and maintain accurate mileage logs
  • always follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • adhere to applicable laws and dispatch instructions
  • ensure product quality through proper handling procedures
  • perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
  • escalate major issues to supervisors
  • keep vehicles clean and organized
  • maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • complete other tasks as assigned by management
