Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain a valid CDL permit
- Successful completion of DOT physical, drug screening, and criminal background check
- Possession of a valid DOT medical card
- Strict adherence to safety standards and company policies
- Team player willing to assist co-workers and supervisors as needed
- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to colleagues and the public
- Maintain a current driver's license meeting state and company requirements (CDL, Class B)
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet company and DOT standards
- Ability to work up to six days per week, including significant overtime (55-70 hours/week), per DOT ready mix exemption laws
- Willingness to travel and work away from home as required
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules
- Commitment to training employees with a CDL Class B license, even if they lack driving experience
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA/MSHA, including face shield, safety shoes, and safety vest
- Compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must obtain a CDL B Permit from the local DMV
Job Duties
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles with proper documentation in accordance with DOT guidelines
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Monitor vehicle gauges during operation and maintain accurate mileage logs
- Always follow all company policies and safety procedures
- Adhere to applicable laws and dispatch instructions
- Ensure product quality through proper handling procedures
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
- escalate major issues to supervisors
- Keep vehicles clean and organized
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management
