Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to obtain a valid CDL permit
- successful completion of DOT physical, drug screening, and criminal background check
- possession of a valid DOT medical card
- strict adherence to safety standards and company policies
- team player willing to assist co-workers and supervisors as needed
- demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to colleagues and the public
- maintain a current driver's license meeting state and company requirements (CDL, Class B)
- motor vehicle record (MVR) must meet company and DOT standards
- ability to work up to six days per week, including significant overtime (55-70 hours/week), per DOT ready mix exemption laws
- willingness to travel and work away from home as required
- flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules
- commitment to training employees with a CDL Class B license, even if they lack driving experience
- use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA/MSHA, including face shield, safety shoes, and safety vest
- compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- must obtain a CDL B Permit from the local DMV
Job Duties
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles with proper documentation in accordance with DOT guidelines
- assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- monitor vehicle gauges during operation and maintain accurate mileage logs
- always follow all company policies and safety procedures
- adhere to applicable laws and dispatch instructions
- ensure product quality through proper handling procedures
- perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
- escalate major issues to supervisors
- keep vehicles clean and organized
- maintain regular and reliable attendance
- complete other tasks as assigned by management
