Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement per DOT Regulations
- Must possess and maintain an acceptable DMV record
- Must have a DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate)
- Ability to work varied shifts including possible 3rd shift and weekends
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to maintain neat and clean appearance and be in uniform
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds
- Willingness to report accidents, safety hazards or unusual occurrences timely
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to assist disabled passengers and customers with luggage when required
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement as per DOT regulations
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one interactions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to perform basic math operations using American money units
- Ability to maintain neat and clean appearance in complete uniform
- Ability to stand, walk, handle cash and equipment regularly
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to pass DOT medical examination and possess a valid DOT Medical Card
Job Duties
- Drive shuttle buses safely and efficiently transporting passengers
- Provide exceptional client and customer service guided by the SP+ Promise
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of bus interiors
- Fuel buses and log trip counts accurately
- Assist disabled passengers and customers with luggage
- Report accidents, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences promptly
- Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized
- Maintain thorough knowledge of garage areas, streets, landmarks, and freeways to assist customers
- Communicate maintenance issues such as debris or spills to the garage office
- Assist Facility Manager with various duties as needed
