Job Requirements
- Hold a valid commercial drivers license or chauffeur's license appropriate for vehicle weight
- Be at least 21 years old
- Pass a 10 panel drug screen as condition of employment
- Pass background check
- Pass DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Ability to travel frequently
- Comply with clean-shaven policy if required
Job Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to remain focused in busy environments
- Hold a valid commercial drivers license or chauffeur's license suitable for vehicle weight
- Pass background and drug testing per federal and state regulations
- Pass DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs
- Be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Capability to sit for prolonged periods in trailer cab
- Ability to comply with clean-shaven requirement if applicable
- Experience in safe driving practices is preferred
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following loading crew signals
- Assist with loading of goods and materials using specialized equipment when necessary
- Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and deliver documentation to appropriate staff
- Facilitate routine truck service including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Perform other related duties as assigned
