Job Requirements
- Hold a valid commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for vehicle weight
- Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations
- Pass DOT physical examination
- Be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
- Clean shaven as required by EquipmentShare customers
- Pass 10 panel drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
- Must hold a commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for vehicle weight
- Must pass background and drug testing per federal and/or state transportation regulations
- Must pass DOT physical
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to travel frequently
- CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven
- Safety sensitive position requiring passing a 10 panel drug screen
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer skillfully into loading and unloading areas
- Assist with loading or load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted
- Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- Deliver documentation to appropriate staff when delivery route is complete
- Facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air
- Report maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Perform other related duties as assigned
