Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid Class A or B CDL driver’s license for state of residence with current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Adherence to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Willingness to complete CDL training if applicable
- Ability to maintain accurate logs and vehicle inspection reports
- Ability to follow detailed delivery routes and customer service procedures
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid Class A or B CDL driver’s license for state of residence with current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Prefer minimum of two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation preferred
- Good knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows, Internet, Email and SAP software a plus
- Familiarity with state regulations for oversize load permits, flagging and chase vehicles (Pole Drivers)
Job Duties
- Provides delivery of material to customer sites or other branch locations
- Maintains delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitors maintenance and mileage data
- Maintains daily driver logs and daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR)
- Completes truck summary, driver’s log and other backup detail daily
- Observes and adheres to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company driver policies
- Understands truck routes and may coordinate deliveries with company trucks
- Loads and unloads material at branch and customer locations
- Supports warehouse operational functions
- Drives over-length vehicles and rigs oversize loads (Pole Drivers)
- Completes CDL training and operates vehicles under mentorship (CDL Trainees)
- Performs Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of route
- Assists with order filling, stocking, processing returns, receiving, and shipping as needed
