Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid commercial driver's license Class A CDL or chauffeur's license appropriate for weight of vehicle
- Must pass background and drug testing required by federal and state departments of transportation
- Must pass Department of Transportation physical exam
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to travel frequently
- Willingness to be clean shaven if required by customers
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods in truck cab
- This is a safety sensitive position requiring passing a 10 panel drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Hold a valid Class A CDL or appropriate chauffeur's license
- Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and state regulations
- Pass DOT physical examination
- At least 21 years old
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
- Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted
- Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- Deliver documentation to shipping office or appropriate staff when delivery is complete
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report malfunctions to supervisor
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Perform other related duties as assigned
