Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
- Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
Job Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
Job Duties
- Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
- Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms
- Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers
- Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
- Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies
- Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily
- Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed
