Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- at least 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL Class A license
- minimum age of 21
- compliance with state licensing and certification requirements
- clean motor vehicle record for past 3 years
- pass drug test
- pass road test
- current DOT health card
- ability to lift and use equipment to move freight weighing between 60 and 90 pounds
- willingness to work Monday through Friday with early morning dispatch
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL Class A license
- must be at least 21 years old
- meet all state licensing or certification requirements
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test
- pass road test
- valid current DOT health card
- ability to handle physical demands including lifting and using equipment to move freight
- preferred experience in foodservice distribution
- preferred experience with onboard computers and electronic log systems
- preferred experience with handheld point of delivery scanning systems
Job Duties
- Attend and complete entry level driver trainee or dock to driver training program
- ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries
- perform pre and post trip safety inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- inspect trailer for properly loaded freight and complete required paperwork
- drive and deliver customer orders according to route schedule
- unload products, verify deliveries with customers, collect payments if necessary, and load customer returns
- secure tractor, trailer, and freight at all times
- unload damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork
- perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log
- perform other related duties as assigned
