Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A driver’s license
- Valid medical card obtained through company physical exam
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Safe driving record
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records required

Job Duties
- Drive company-owned or leased trucks in a professional manner to transport and deliver products or other materials
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and trailer to ensure safety as a priority
- Report all on-duty accidents and any on-duty or off-duty violations, suspensions, disqualifications, or revocations
- Drive trucks to weigh stations when appropriate along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations
- Maintain, protect, and report vehicle defects
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
- Knowledge and compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and company safety rules and regulations
- Must be courteous, professional, safe, and have a positive attitude while working with customers, fellow employees, the public, state, county, and city officers
- Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
- This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
