Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree
  • one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
  • insurability to operate a vehicle
  • ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand traffic signs
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with a hand cart
  • willingness to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • compliance with DOT and food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree accepted
  • completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted instead of or in addition to high school diploma
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently for safety and communication
  • valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
  • knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • skill in driving long distances, problem solving, and customer communication
  • ability to safely operate Class B or non-CDL box truck, read safety regulations, perform basic math, and work independently

Job Duties

  • Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location according to assigned route
  • unloads product from trailer by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks and places in designated customer storage areas
  • picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports products back to the warehouse
  • ensures all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time
  • maintains and follows food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer
  • develops and maintains good relationships with customers through excellent service and communication
  • communicates with management regarding route deviations, trailer or loading issues, and customer or product concerns
  • works assigned schedule including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
