Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree
- one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
- insurability to operate a vehicle
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand traffic signs
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with a hand cart
- willingness to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- compliance with DOT and food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree accepted
- completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted instead of or in addition to high school diploma
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently for safety and communication
- valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
- knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- skill in driving long distances, problem solving, and customer communication
- ability to safely operate Class B or non-CDL box truck, read safety regulations, perform basic math, and work independently
Job Duties
- Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location according to assigned route
- unloads product from trailer by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks and places in designated customer storage areas
- picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports products back to the warehouse
- ensures all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time
- maintains and follows food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer
- develops and maintains good relationships with customers through excellent service and communication
- communicates with management regarding route deviations, trailer or loading issues, and customer or product concerns
- works assigned schedule including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
