Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Minimum age 23 years old
  • Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
  • Minimum 1 year of liquid tanker hauling experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Milk Handler Certification
  • Valid DOT Medical Card with proof of insurability
  • Familiarity with ELDs and Hours of Service regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to drop and hook trailers
  • Ability to climb ladders to check trailer seals
  • Strong navigation and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work holidays and weekends
  • Ability to bend, stoop, pull, climb, kneel, crouch, squat, and reach overhead
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Load milk products onto trailers using proper equipment and approved techniques
  • Safely transport bulk dairy products to processing plants in compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, delays, or issues
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance concerns
  • Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and required paperwork
  • Ensure proper milk handling practices at all times
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to farms, plants, and other stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
