Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of experience in DOT-regulated driving
- Clean driving record
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Capable of handling various freight types
- Willingness to communicate and coordinate effectively with dispatch
- Physically fit to handle loading and unloading duties
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license
- At least 6 months of DOT-regulated driving experience within the past year
- Hands-on experience with manual transmissions preferred but not required
- Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or similar equipment is a plus
- Proven ability in freight handling including load and unload procedures and route driving
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols for tractor-trailers
- Delivery driver experience involving freight movement across various terrains and conditions
Job Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes with a focus on timely deliveries
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Manage route driving responsibilities while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Handle various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tankers depending on assignment
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
