Job Requirements

  • Hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license
  • Have at least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Meet McLane's motor vehicle record and risk rating qualifications
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, and understand English to comply with safety and operational standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely

Job Duties

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and customer premises
  • Maintain driver log (manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
  • Unload trailer delivering product into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned
