Job Requirements
- Hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Have at least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Meet McLane's motor vehicle record and risk rating qualifications
- Demonstrate ability to read, write, and understand English to comply with safety and operational standards
Job Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
Job Duties
- Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition
- Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
- Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and customer premises
- Maintain driver log (manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
- Unload trailer delivering product into customer premises
- Perform other duties as assigned
