Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for the last 3 years
- Pass a post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass a road test
- Attain or possess a valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment for moving product cases
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 6 plus months of commercial driving experience with tractor trailers
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 plus years of age
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have a valid current DOT health card or be able to secure a new DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move product cases of varying size and weight throughout shift
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily record of hours of service and enter logs according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties and secure all equipment and paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
