Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for the last 3 years
  • Pass a post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass a road test
  • Attain or possess a valid DOT health card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment for moving product cases

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 6 plus months of commercial driving experience with tractor trailers
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 plus years of age
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have a valid current DOT health card or be able to secure a new DOT health card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move product cases of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • Perform daily record of hours of service and enter logs according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and secure all equipment and paperwork at shift end
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
