Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Completion of tractor trailer driving school considered an alternative
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate effectively
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Ability to lift and move heavy products up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with hand cart
- Ability to work overnight schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to follow safety regulations and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- Skill in long distance driving and customer communication
- Ability to operate tractor trailer and related equipment
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to meet company productivity standards
Job Duties
- Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations according to assigned routes
- unloads product by hand or hand cart using ramps, stairs, or docks as per customer specifications
- picks up, loads and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports them back to warehouse
- completes all paperwork including DOT logs, inspection and maintenance reports, and invoices accurately and on time
- ensures food safety protocols are followed and maintains cleanliness of tractor, trailer, and delivery areas
- follows company and safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions immediately
- establishes good relationships with customers through excellent service and communication
- communicates effectively with management regarding route changes, loading issues, or product concerns
