Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- insurable to operate vehicle
- ability to read and speak English
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 350 pounds
- ability to work overnight schedules, weekends, holidays, overtime and flexible start times
- knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- ability to follow directions and perform duties as assigned
- regular and predictable attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of tractor trailer driving school preferred
- valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- ability to read, write and communicate in English
- knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- skills in long-distance driving and problem-solving
- ability to operate tractor-trailer, straight truck, and related equipment
- effective planning and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Safely transport product from warehouse to customer location according to assigned route
- unload product from trailer by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks
- pick up, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns
- complete all paperwork accurately and submit on time
- ensure all food safety protocols are met and maintain sanitary conditions
- operate assigned equipment safely
- develop good relationships with customers through excellent service
- communicate with management regarding route or product issues
- work assigned schedule including overnight deliveries and weekends as needed
