Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Completion of a tractor trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to high school diploma
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 250 pounds with hand cart
- Ability to climb in and out of tractor and trailer
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, and stack pallets
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and compliance
- Ability to meet overnight schedule demands including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work in varying weather and physical conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- Completion of a tractor trailer driving school accepted
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Ability to operate a 3 axle tractor and trailers of 45 to 48 feet
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- Skill in driving long distances and varying weather
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English
- Ability to independently plan and organize work activities
- Ability to handle hazardous materials and frozen, dry, and refrigerated products
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart and place in designated areas according to customer specifications
- Complete all paperwork accurately including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, pre- and post-trip reports, and daily invoices
- Ensure food safety protocols are met including maintaining proper temperatures and inspecting products for damage
- Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer, warehouse, and yard
- Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing courteous and clear communication
- Drive tractor trailer routes safely and efficiently adhering to company standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
