Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to diploma
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- insurability to operate a vehicle
- ability to safely lift and move product up to 50 pounds and push/pull 250 pounds with hand cart
- ability to work overnight schedule including weekends and holidays
- ability to meet physical demands and safety requirements
- ability to follow safety protocols and company policies
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- knowledge of DOT regulations
- knowledge of Hazmat guidelines
- skill in driving over long distances and in varying weather conditions
- skill in communicating with customers
- ability to operate 3 axle tractor and 45-48 foot trailer
- ability to handle hazardous materials and temperature-sensitive products
- ability to perform basic math functions
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and complete required documentation
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions according to customer specifications and company standards
- complete all paperwork accurately according to company and governmental guidelines including DOT logs, inspections, and delivery invoices
- ensure food safety protocols are met including maintaining proper product temperatures and sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer
- develop and maintain good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication
- assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard
- drive both team and single routes effectively and safely
- perform other duties as assigned by management
