Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid CDL-A license
Minimum one year experience driving a commercial vehicle
Ability to pass DOT physical examination
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Must have a clean motor vehicle record meeting insurance company guidelines
Proficient in using handheld computer devices
Ability to lift heavy products safely
Availability to work Tuesday through Friday with occasional overtime
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
One to two years CDL driving experience
Must be proficient in handheld computer equipment
Valid driver’s license
CDL license
DOT physical
Ability to communicate effectively with others using oral communication
Customer oriented with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to perform basic vehicle inspections and report issues

Job Duties

Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability and product uses
Handle product in a safe manner using proper lifting techniques and ensure minimal product damage
Conduct and submit pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
Maintain customer records
Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles to the Fleet Manager
Present invoices and collect payments for products delivered or picked up
Verify truck inventory against load out sheet
Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries
Inform customers of delivery schedules, service, and other information pertaining to products
Attend company meetings and route sales meetings as required
Check inventory levels, rotation and monitor product quality according to company and supplier standards
Complete daily paperwork such as product quality sheets, sequence list and other required paperwork
Complete all product and development training as required
Know and understand all competitive pricing and products
Maintain positive customer relations
