Job Requirements
- Meet all DOT (FMCSA) requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a Class A CDL license from the state of residence
- Complete a DOT application (Clearing House)
- Successfully pass MVR requirements for CDL and medical card, drug test, and background check
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
- No more than 2 of the same type of moving violations in last 3 years
- No more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI convictions in past 10 years
- Must live within 60 miles of the distribution center
- Able to lift up to 65 pounds regularly and assist with mechanical lifting up to 2,000 pounds
- Able to work in extreme temperatures (-10F to 100F)
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class A CDL license from the state of residence
- Minimum 1 year of tractor/trailer driving experience
- Proven compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work safely under extreme temperature conditions
- Strong communication skills in English
- Prior food service delivery experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and nights
- Good driving record with no preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
Job Duties
- Drive state-of-the-art trucks to deliver products to multiple Chick-fil-A restaurants
- Make safe, timely deliveries within established restaurant delivery windows
- Unload and stage product at 4-6 restaurants per shift
- Complete all pickup and returns from restaurants and submit paperwork properly
- Assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment upon return to the distribution center
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues
- Follow all DOT, FSMA, and company policies regarding safety and food transport
- Operate equipment with GPS and mobile apps for efficient delivery
- Communicate respectfully and build relationships with restaurant operators and team leaders
- Comply with hours-of-service limits and maintain accurate electronic logging device records
