Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Meet all applicable state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Ability to obtain or possess a valid DOT Health Card
  • Ability to lift and move product cases weighing between 10 and 90 pounds
  • Willingness to work overnight shifts as required
  • Adherence to all Department of Transportation rules and company safety policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure a new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined delivery routes and schedules
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan products, and communicate with supervisor about removing orders as per company policy
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, bring to driver check-in, and complete necessary paperwork
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
