Job Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screen
- License to drive - valid CDL-A or CDL-B with a clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Customer service experience preferred
- Experience with pallet breakdown and hand cart delivery preferred
- Two years of local food or beverage delivery experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy loads as required
- Good physical stamina and flexibility
Job Duties
- Drive tractor-trailer to deliver and unload products for Sysco customers
- Utilize excellent customer service skills when interacting with customers
- Comply with state and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco safety policies
- Handle freight, including lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing 40-60 pounds and up to 100 pounds
- Work overtime, weekends, holidays, and start shifts at various early morning times as required
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods on local routes
- Maintain a clean driving record and operate the vehicle safely at all times
