Job Requirements

  • One year certification from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • attend continuing education seminars and workshops
  • be certified in CPR and First Aid
  • have a current state criminal record check on file
  • must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions

Job Qualifications

  • One year certification from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • certification in CPR and First Aid
  • experience with clerical or administrative tasks
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and work independently
  • knowledge of safety protocols in childcare settings

Job Duties

  • Opening and closing the CDC facility for business each day including securing the building
  • recording children and staff departures and ensuring classrooms are empty and maintained
  • entering data into computer systems using EZ-CARE Software
  • answering telephones and conveying messages
  • sorting and distributing mail
  • computing and forwarding childcare charges for employees to payroll
  • assisting with payroll processing in the absence of the Site Director
  • preparing monthly newsletters for parents
  • providing registration packets and tours for potential families
  • monitoring and approving entrance to classrooms from the main lobby
  • notifying security as needed
  • preparing Federal Food Program monthly attendance sheets
  • maintaining classroom ratios and assigning team members during director absence
  • coordinating placement of substitute teachers
  • supporting special CDC events such as field trips and celebrations under the Site Director’s guidance
