Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN or 5 years ED/CCT/Cardiac/Trauma RN experience
  • Current ACLS, PALS, BLS-C or equivalent provider status
  • PHTLS and NRP Provider Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Completion of ICS courses including FEMA IS-100B and IS-700A
  • Experience with critical care inter-facility transfers
  • Completion of advanced certifications such as CEN, CCRN, TNCC or ENC
  • BTLS or PHTLS certification

Job Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience or 5 years ED/CCT/Cardiac/Trauma RN experience

Job Duties

  • Assess and use nursing expertise to determine the best course of action in critical care situations
  • Provide care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice according to Board of Registered Nursing and CCT procedures
  • Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders
  • Act as team leader ensuring a safe, clean, and well-stocked transport environment
  • Maintain regular equipment checks and stock levels
  • Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing training
