Job Requirements

  • Experience with contractor controlled insurance program
  • five plus years experience in construction safety
  • three plus years experience in wastewater and water safety
  • board of certified safety professionals certification such as certified hazardous materials supervisor technician or certified safety professional
  • experience using Procore construction management software
  • OSHA 30 certification

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and assistance to operations in establishing and maintaining safety operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and best practices
  • administer, direct and manage compliance with the project to ensure safety goals are met
  • provide a strategic vision for creating safe work areas for affected employees and the general public
  • conduct comprehensive reviews of potential risks on projects and identify controls or mitigation measures
  • perform inspections and audit project sites periodically with an emphasis on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and corrective measures and implementation interface with clients, employees and subcontractors ensuring safety programs and specifications are met
  • supervise, develop and manage other safety professionals to ensure effective administration of accident prevention efforts
  • develop and deliver training resources leveraging third-party training when necessary, develop required training matrix associated with hazards and in line with project schedule
  • develop and implement work exposure control plans and understand industrial hygiene sampling methods to support regulatory compliance with established permissible exposure limits
  • help manage contractor controlled insurance program
  • communicate with risk department to ensure continual compliance with CCIP program
