Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in hospitality or guest service roles
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Good physical stamina
  • Basic proficiency in English

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in guest service or hospitality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic knowledge of wine service and pairing preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training sessions

Job Duties

  • Greet guests professionally and provide prompt courteous and friendly service in the Bistro at assigned restaurant stations or other venues as directed
  • Support the Head Sommelier with preparation execution and breakdown of wine tastings seminars and Vintage Room dinners
  • Maintain the highest standards of service and cleanliness in assigned areas in accordance with USPH Shipboard Sanitation Program standards including accurate record-keeping and log updates
  • Ensure proper cleaning maintenance and safe storage of all equipment in the Bistro and at assigned stations complying with safety regulations
  • Report any maintenance issues to the assigned supervisor and follow up on work orders until completion
  • Attend all required meetings training sessions and other educational activities as scheduled
  • Maintain a friendly approachable and professional demeanor at all times even under pressure applying the principles of professional conduct
  • Conduct oneself courteously and professionally in all interactions with guests and fellow team members fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
