Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years' catering, restaurant, or food service experience
- Serve Safe certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand, walk, push, and/or carry for the duration of a shift
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to set-up and break-down banquets and buffet areas
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
- Relevant catering, restaurant, or food service experience with medium to large group sizes
- Serve Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, including cooking, baking, and preparing ready-made food items
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Culinary experience preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation and presentation techniques
Job Duties
- Preparing food items, set up, and serve food at various events, banquets, and functions with attention to presentation and quality
- Assist with food preparation, placing food items in correct vessels, and garnishing to meet event specifications
- Excellent food handling and preparation skills of food products in compliance with health and sanitation regulations, ensuring proper storage and transportation
- Maintain proper food storage practices and assist with inventory management
- Ability to continuously work while standing, walking, pushing, and/or carrying for the duration of a shift
- Fulfill the guests’ needs quickly and efficiently as well as resolve complaints effectively
- Execute back of the house, front of the house and all other duties assigned for the overall productivity of banquet events assigned
