Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to A.S. degree or relevant experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Experience in catering operations
- Knowledge of high volume foodservice operations
- Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
- Must be able to participate in client satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
- Catering experience in hotel, resort, or country club settings
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
- Institutional and batch cooking experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Experienced with computer systems including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and Internet
- ServSafe certified is highly desirable
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
Job Duties
- Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the catering team
- Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produces and execute catering events
- Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Chartwells marketing and culinary team
