Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service supervisory role preferred
  • must complete or have completed sanitation course
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • proficiency in multitasking and leadership
  • basic arithmetic skills
  • ability to maintain composure under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts
  • ability to mentor and train staff

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • knowledge of cost-effective program operation

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production safety and quality according to policies
  • ensure food items are stored safely and organized
  • maintain serving schedules per menu specifications
  • uphold sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders to ensure production accuracy
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain safe working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multi-task proficiently
  • perform duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • maintain knowledge of catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
