Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and production guidelines
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Physical capability to perform sustained physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in job duties and responsibilities
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive work environment and excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to safely handle knives and kitchen equipment
  • Experience in cooking and food preparation according to recipes and production standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to train and guide staff
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Duties

  • Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a food service team and oversees the completion of tasks
  • Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods, etc.
  • Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knives
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
