Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in high-end catering or event-focused culinary operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale event culinary production
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including event days and weekends
  • Effective communication and team supervision abilities
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in high-end catering or event-focused culinary operations
  • Demonstrated experience executing large-scale, high-volume events
  • Strong culinary fundamentals with the ability to lead from the kitchen
  • Experience supporting menu planning, ordering, and cost management
  • Comfort supervising and developing hourly kitchen teams
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead and execute culinary production for large-scale catered events at The Crossvines, from prep through service
  • Support the Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations and event execution
  • Collaborate on menu development, tastings, and seasonal event offerings
  • Assist with ordering, inventory management, and food cost controls
  • Supervise, train, and support hourly culinary team members during prep and events
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Support new culinary programs and menu rollouts tied to events and venue offerings
