Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • completion of sanitation course before or during first year as a lead
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production records as needed
  • direct daily activities of food service operations
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
  • maintain serving schedules ensuring all food items are served per menu specifications
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory according to departmental policies
  • prepare orders per vendor to ensure accurate production
  • operate an efficient and cost-effective food service program
  • supervise and evaluate employees, provide counseling, promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
