Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 4 years experience in catering or related field
  • at least 1-3 years experience in management role
  • prior experience in events and catering
  • strong communication skills
  • availability to work event-based hours
  • completion of Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment

Job Duties

  • Coordinate total catering operations including event booking, supervising teams, menu development and costing, pricing, hiring, departmental administration
  • manage all aspects of preparation, service, and cleanup for multiple catering operations
  • develop and implement catering solutions to meet customer needs
  • build and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • create and execute annual marketing plans including collateral, sales strategies, and marketing budgets
  • establish and enforce service and presentation standards ensuring compliance and consistency
  • introduce new services to support business growth and client retention
  • advise clients, customers, and staff on current catering trends and products
  • facilitate delivery of prepared food based on banquet event orders
  • participate in sales process and contract negotiations, assisting clients with special event planning
  • train and lead catering employees to maintain standards
  • set and achieve sales, food, and labor targets
  • oversee staffing and management at catering events of varied sizes
  • manage accounting functions, including reporting of catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • ensure compliance with food safety, occupational and environmental policies
