Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year fine dining and/or banquet experience
- Valid food handling certificate if required by state or federal regulations
- Alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Ability to carry up to ten meals on a tray
- Basic math skills related to cash handling
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possession of valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to calculate basic math functions related to cash/credit transactions and cash reconciliation
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- One year fine dining and/or banquet experience
Job Duties
- Serving meals to guests or replenishing food to the buffet line
- Demonstrating ability to read and comprehend banquet event orders when directing to service a guest event or in setting up guest events
- Serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages while verifying guest's ID for minimum age requirement
- Carrying ten meals on a tray
- Recording a guest's order and relaying the order to the kitchen
- Observing guests to respond to additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed
- Refilling salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments and napkins
- Replacing tableware and linens as necessary
- Setting up banquet functions including linens, dishware, glassware and silverware
- Maintaining sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Demonstrating excellent attendance according to company standards
- Performing all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
