Job Duties
- assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces including arranging dining tables and place settings
- serve food and beverages to guests in a polished, professional manner according to the event’s style (plated, buffet, or passed service)
- greet and engage with guests ensuring they have everything they need for a pleasant dining experience
- be familiar with the event menu providing information and recommendations when needed to assist guests with their choices
- clear used plates and glassware from tables keeping the dining area neat and organized throughout the event
- respond to any guest complaints or concerns with professionalism resolving issues quickly and courteously
- work closely with other servers, chefs, and event staff to ensure the event runs smoothly
- refill guest beverages as needed including water, wine, and other drinks throughout the event
- ensure that service is always conducted with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- maintain a polished and professional appearance in compliance with event or venue guidelines
