Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must treat all information as confidential
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout the shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Previous airline experience preferred
- Previous experience in security, military, or customer service preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow strict security protocols and procedures
- Physically capable of performing job duties involving standing, sitting, bending, and lifting
Job Duties
- Provide security screening using hand-held metal detectors and physical inspections
- Conduct physical searches and take appropriate action upon detection of dangerous items
- Inspect food, beverages, supplies, and catering equipment for signs of tampering or prohibited items
- Escort catering carts from inspection to loading and seal with tamper-evident security seals
- Notify law enforcement and airline security coordinator when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with employees and the public
- Adhere to all government, airport, client, and company regulations while participating in safety management systems
