Job Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- previous airline experience preferred
- previous security, military or customer service experience preferred
- U.S. citizenship
- minimum age of 18 years
- reliable transportation and telephone required
- ability to read, write and understand instructions in English
- ability to sit, stand, lift and bend throughout shift
- pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- pass a pre-employment background check
- meet requirements for security sensitive identification badge
- maintain confidentiality
- tactful communication skills
- wear proper uniform or business attire
- display identification badges visibly
- comply with all safety requirements
- attend safety training and meetings
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent
- previous airline experience preferred
- previous experience in security, military, or customer service preferred
- must be a U.S. citizen
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must have reliable transportation and telephone
- must be able to read, write and understand English
- treat all information as confidential
- possess tact when dealing with clients, employees and the public
- must meet requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
Job Duties
- Provide security screening using hand-held metal detectors and physical inspections
- conduct physical searches and take action upon detection of dangerous items
- inspect food carts, supply trolleys, and vehicles for tampering and dangerous objects
- escort catering carts from inspection until loading onto transport vehicles
- seal all carts with tamper-evident seals and monitor for signs of tampering
- notify law enforcement and airline security coordinators when necessary
- maintain records, reports and communicate hazards and equipment problems
