Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
  • must be able to maintain O'Hare Airport field driving privileges
  • must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
  • successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to read, write, and speak English and numerical values fluently
  • valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • ability to operate a computer or tablet to enter and retrieve data
  • able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances such as FAA, TSA, ORD Port Authority/SIDA, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal per local requirements
  • legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Duties

  • Inspect and verify catering truck security seals in compliance with aviation security standards
  • ensure all protocols are followed before trucks are released to service departing flights
  • maintain accurate documentation of seal verification activities
  • work with minimal supervision while upholding strict safety and security requirements
  • support operational efficiency by ensuring timely verification processes
  • adhere to Airport and United Airlines Safety Standards
