Catering By Design is currently seeking dedicated Catering Salespeople to join its expanding team. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and who are eager to contribute their unique talents in a dynamic, event-driven environment. Catering Salespeople will play a key role in managing the complete event lifecycle, including initial client inquiries, event planning, on-site supervision, and final billing. They will collaborate closely with chefs to develop customized menus that align with current food and beverage trends, ensuring every event reflects the client’s vision.

Beyond food and event management, the role involves fostering strong business relationships with venues, planners, vendors, and industry partners to generate new business opportunities and expand the company’s network. Schedule demands include full-time hours, primarily off-premise at the company commissary and on-site at various venues, with weekend availability required, especially Saturdays during peak seasons. The position offers a competitive base salary starting at $65,000 plus commission, with an overall pay range of $70,000 to $110,000 annually.

Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills, a collaborative approach to teamwork, and an unwavering passion for client satisfaction and personalized event experiences. Financial and operational proficiency is essential, including expertise in managing event budgets, food and beverage costs, rentals, staffing, and décor. Excellent communication skills, the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges, strong organizational and multitasking capabilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word are also critical.

A positive attitude, genuine enthusiasm for food and events, and a firm commitment to food safety standards are key elements of success within the company culture. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle to travel to and from event locations. This is a full-time position requiring significant dedication, especially during peak event seasons when workloads may extend to 60-70 hours per week.
